A card is freely chosen from a miniature deck of cards.
Shuffle the cards and spread them face down on a piece of cloth.
Introduce a jewelry box and open it, revealing a miniature one inch crystal ball inside. Place the crystal on the cloth. "Watch this..." you say.

Suddenly the ball begins to move. It slowly rolls along the spread of cards and then stops next to one of the cards. Pull the card from the spread and lean it against the ball. "What was the name of your card?" you ask.
The spectator answers. Once again the ball mysteriously rolls by itself and causes the card to fall face up on the cloth! It is indeed the chosen card. The cards, cloth, and ball can be completely examined but no one will find a clue to the Kinetic Crystal.
